Hey! So Glad You're Here!

I have been an educator for over 20 years. In those 20 years, I have seen the education pendulum swing back and forth, especially when it comes to reading instruction. When I started teaching in 1998, the internet wasn't even in my school. Needless to say, I have seen lots of changes. I have a passion for learning. I am open-minded and willing to learn new strategies to create strong readers. Also, when technology became a "thing" I just wanted to learn everything I could. Nowadays, when I see a website or app that I think will engage my students in learning, we just jump right in and try it. I also have a passion for teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, as well reading interventions. I have also mentored numerous new teachers. With this blog, I hope that you get a little something out of it.
