Productivity tools are any devices, programs, or services that increase a user's efficiency and productivity while carrying out duties (American College of Education, 2021). In a world that is in constant motion, using tools that increase productivity is a must. The two main categories of productivity tools are collaborative or interactive and non-collaborative (American College of Education, 2021).
Here are two productivity tools that can help you get things done more efficiently.
Notability is an extremely versatile note-taking and annotation app (Ginger Labs, 2023).
Pro: Easy to use, offers a variety of drawing tools and colors for annotating, capability to capture and replay audio, large gallery with templates (planners, goal trackers, note paper, and stickers)
Con: Have to pay for a subscription that gives access to some features, not available for PCs and Android devices
Google Docs is part of Google Workspace, which has many products that offer collaborative tools with accessibility features (Google, 2023).
Pro: Capacity to share files, maintain consistency, portability of styles and protocols, everyone is on the same page with specific tasks and projects (Fernandes et al., 2019), can be worked on from multiple locations in real-time, saves automatically, can be placed in folders to stay organized
Con: The settings have to be adjusted so the right people have access, learning curve
